Living in Sedona, Arizona, she was featured in numerous newspaper articles there, including the Red Rock News, the Scene and Kudos. She has been exclusive in one of Sedona's top Fine Art galleries, featuring her Series of Spiritual Petroglyph "Wild Ponies" paintings. ~ She was also a featured artist in "Artistic de Santa Fe Gallery", for two years and "All My Relations Gallery" on Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM. More about Sita: Sita feels her artistic expression is an inherent trait. She remembers painting with her Grandfather as a young child and states that her greatest inspiration is her Father who encouraged her to draw and taught her the power of color. Sita is a self taught painter. She paints in oils, acrylics and watercolors. Painting a variety of subject matter from old world still life and figure paintings and with great affection Native Americans, to petroglyph ponies and animals. Sita was a Member of the West Virginia Watercolor Society and the Greenbrier Artists. She displayed and sold her work through many of their exhibits and local galleries for almost nine years; as well as other shows throughout WV and Virginia. She also sold her work at solo shows at the Greenbrier Resort and through a local design firm in White Sulphur Springs, WV. She has sold her work privately in various parts of the country and was the Owner of "Sita's Dragonfly Gallery & Treasures" Fine Art Gallery in Lewisburg, WV through March of 2006. Growing up in Virginia however, and living in various areas of the Southwest including a short stay in Phoenix, AZ, 2010 brings her home to Santa Fe, New Mexico a place she had fallen in love with many years prior. The local culture, beauty and spiritual ambience inspire her continued enlightenment which is evident in her new works. Sita states, "Art is an expression of my Spirit.
